Fun fact: Lafayette was about the only person Washington would allow to hug him, and the young marquis took advantage of it a great deal!
This drawing was made as a birthday present for a friend; the two generals having a relaxed moment at Valley Forge. Goodness knows, there wasn't a whole lot to be happy about that winter.
Micron ink pens, Crayola markers, two Prismacolors (that's all I can afford), my new Bic markers, and one white gel pen. :3 No references used for this pic, but you will see the influence of a certain engraving in Lafayette's face.
This is also a call-out to *
Cszemis. I miss you, my Laf!

You out do yourself more and more and make this heart of mine melt! I adore these two together, what amazing friends and one of the best father-son relationships I've ever seen! I had already known the hug fact but still it makes me laugh to think that Lafayette was the only person allowed to hug him. I had read that one time Hamilton had attempted but was rejected xD
Thank you! They are my favorite to see, especially enjoying eachothers company! I can only beg that you draw them again soon
I. LOVE YOU FOR THIS! Nuff said. *dies again*
XD
Oh Robespierre. You and your weirdness.
Hahahahahaha!
After I read it for the first time, I couldn't eat tart or cake with a straight face for weeks afterwards. I just have this funny image of Robespierre nomnomnomming his way through endless pastries, until he gets one of those little fat bellies you see on cartoons!
OHHH did you see 'War with the French' the other night?! It had actors for William Pitt, Napoleon and Robespierre, and almost every time the scene centred on Robespierre, he was eating a plate of oranges. IT. WAS. HILARIOUS!
(TBH I'm no better, I'm pursuing a 'Hotties of the Revolution' Calendar...so I am also kinda quirked in the head)
Anyway, do you mean you're drawing a hotties of the revolution calendar? I'm adding you to my watch list right away!
